St. James Safe Routes to School Grant Application
The City of St. James requested qualifications for engineering services to assist in the application for Safe Routes to School grant projects to serve the Lucy Wortham James Elementary School and the St. James Middle School.
CM Archer was selected to assist the City and Meramec Regional Planning Commission in preparing a grant application to Missouri Department of Transportation's Safe Routes to School program.
Archer prepared a map of the proposed sidewalk alignments including a master plan of the City's sidewalk system and details on how the phase of construction would connect homes of elementary/middle school aged children with their respective school facilities as well as demonstrate connection to the City's existing trail/sidewalk system.
Archer coordinated the proposed crosswalk location(s) with MoDOT to insure compliance and prepared an opinion of probable cost for the proposed project.
Maps and OPC's were provided for application submittal.
