Athletic Field Off-Site Drainage Improvements
CM Archer was retained by the St. James R-1 School District to assist with athletic field off-site drainage improvements.
During construction of the Phase 1 St. James Athletic Field Improvements Project, it was decided that it was desirable to address several off-site drainage problems. These off-site drainage problems were remediated through the design and implementation of a storm water conveyance which would route additional off-site storm water flows to the school district detention pond.
The proposed conveyance consisted of a 48" corrugated metal pipe culvert and a berm swale system that captured and conveyed flows to the detention basin.
CM Archer conducted topographic survey and did storm drainage and detention calculations required for re-directing the off-site drainage into the school's new detention facility. An Erosion Control Plan was also part of this project.
