Rolla West Master Plan - City of Rolla, Missouri
CM Archer was recently engaged by the City of Rolla as a sub-consultant to HNTB Corporation to assist in the master planning of a new development area on the western edge of the City, along Interstate 44. CM Archer was selected as the infrastructure master planning component of this urban planning team.
A critical component to the development of this area is the proposed extension of Highway 72 and a new I-44 interchange. This extension would relieve traffic congestion at the crippled Hwy 63/72 intersection and funnel the traffic to the proposed development area.
Services include collection and analysis of existing data including parcel maps, utilities, topography and existing and planned land use. The analysis of this data allows the identification of opportunities and constraints for the development area. This process identified the need to coordinate efforts with other ongoing endeavors, including the planned Missouri S&T Technology Park.
Following a three day workshop with the diverse participation of technical team members and public stakeholders, HNTB and CM Archer will refine a selected development plan. This will include conceptual transportation and infrastructure recommendations along with preliminary cost estimates of each.
