Owensville Water and Sewer Improvements Phase II
Archer Engineers was hired by the City of Owensville for the task of modifications to the water system improvements and preliminary engineering report and L&D elimination sewer facility plan which would incorporate West-Side Industrial (WSI) water main looping and new tower location into existing water model, and to reanalyze system and redraft a preliminary engineering report to reflect changes.
Financed in 2002, complications outside of Archer's control resulted in the project being delayed until 2008. Archer was able to phase and modify the project to accomplish the improvements with the original budget.
Archer prepared detailed plans and specifications for the bidding and construction of a 300,000 gallon elevated storage facility and site per MDNR standards which included 2nd Street tower and ground storage tank demolition, 2nd Street pump house reconstruction and controls modification, Well #2 abandonment, and designed approximately 1,500 lineal feet of water mains and accessories, including a highway bore, extending from WSI and connecting to the Landweir Subdivision.
Altitude valves were implemented to provide a unified system between two areas of different pressures. Archer provided bidding and construction phase administration services to include MDNR and MoDOT permit submittals, prebid conferences, addendums and clarifications, document reviews and recommendations.
Archer also provided resident project inspection and construction phase engineering throughout the work progress.
