Newburg Water System Improvements
After CM Archer evaluated Newburg's existing water supply facilities within the City limits and estimated future water supply requirements for domestic consumption and fire fighting; identified water supply, storage and distribution improvements necessary to meet existing and future needs; estimated the cost of needed improvements; and consideration of scheduling, financing, and implementation of the needed improvements, Archer was then requested to convert the USDA-Rural Development Preliminary Engineering Report into a facility plan in accordance with the Missouri Department of Natural Resources review letter and assist the City in obtaining preliminary engineering design grants.
A topographic survey was conducted by Archer and detailed engineering plans and specifications for water line replacement and rehabilitation of existing concrete water storage tanks and the implementation necessary for security improvements to tank sites and replacement of all water meter assemblies within the City's water distribution network was accomplished.
Archer prepared plans and specifications showing the general scope, extent and character of the improvements and have worked closely with funding agencies.
Plans, specifications and instructions will be furnished to bidders. After the bid process, contract documents will be furnished to the low bidder and construction administration will be provided to the City of Newburg.
Through the bidding and construction phase of the project a significant amount of cooperation will be required between the City of Newburg, public works and the engineering and support staff of Archer.
Archer will work closely with City officials and personnel and funding agencies to help bring this project to a successful completion for the community.
