Hermann Electrical Distribution System
The City of Hermann's circuit replacement was identified in 2005-2006 and budgeted to be completed in fiscal year 2006-2007.
Archer was asked to conduct site inspections, troubleshooting and existing conductor system testing for immediate replacement of the existing underground 1-phase electrical primary circuit that feeds customer's at the Bohl's Trailer Court and Tri-County facility area. The underground circuit had a failed neutral conductor causing stray voltages at existing electrical enclosures and facilities.
The existing circuit is a 25 to 30 year old direct buried underground electric primary with three old pad mounted "transclosures units" with each containing a pole mounted transformer to service area customers. This circuit impacts services for approximately 15-20 residential customers and the Tri-County commercial business.
Archer evaluated peak loads for eight feeders with reclosurer and/or draw out breaker type relaying system protection distributing power to City loads from four City owned substation connected to Central Electric Power transmission system.
Archer continues to monitor the 12.3kV and 5kV distribution systems in the City of Hermann.
